Why did KV Federal Credit Union and HealthFirst Federal Credit Union merge?
KV Federal Credit Union and HealthFirst Federal Credit Union have merged in order to better serve all members by offering three branches and a full array of financial products and services across Kennebec and Somerset counties in the midst of a rapidly changing regulatory environment.
When is the merger integration phase expected to be completed?
The merger integration phase, during which account data and processes for HealthFirst and its members will be transferred to KV’s systems, is expected to be completed on November 1, 2016.
What are some of the products and services offered by KVFCU?
Product and services offered by KVFCU following the merger include access to three branches, competitive lending and savings rates, technological advancements in banking -- including mobile banking and billpay, Apple iPay, chip-enabled debit and credit cards -- and other products and services, such as commercial banking, home mortgages, automobile and recreational vehicle loans.
Will “KV Federal Credit Union” be retained as the name of the Credit Union?
How many members and branches will the Credit Union have?
KVFCU will serve more than 10,000 members at three branches across Kennebec and Somerset counties.

Will hours of operation at the branches change?
Yes, there may be a slight adjustment in the hours of operation. A notice prior to the change will be posted in each branch lobby.

How will the merger effect KVFCU members?
KVFCU members will continue to benefit from the full suite of KVFCU’s competitive rates, products and services, and will have increased access to branch and ATM services.
Do KVFCU members have no-fee access to HealthFirst ATM machines during the integration phase?
FOR HEALTHFIRST MEMBERS
Will my account remain active during the merger integration phase?
Yes, HealthFirst accounts will remain active during the merger integration phase and no immediate action is required.
However, HealthFirst members are welcome and encouraged to open a new KVFCU account at their convenience. In order to ensure a seamless integration and uninterrupted banking services, HealthFirst members will be notified later this year in advance of when their accounts are transferred to KVFCU’s systems.
When will my account be automatically transferred to a KVFCU account?
HealthFirst members will be notified later this year in advance of when their accounts are transferred to KVFCU’s systems. No immediate action is required.
Will my account number change?
Yes, but not immediately. For those HealthFirst members who choose not to change their account to KVFCU during the merger integration phase (and thereby obtain a new account), account numbers will automatically change once the account is transferred to KVFCU’s systems later this year.
May I use HealthFirst checks, ATM machines, debit cards/VISA check cards, products and services during the merger integration phase?
Yes, you may continue to use HealthFirst ATM/debit card and checks during the merger integration phase. You will be notified later this year in advance of when your account is transferred to KVFCU’s systems.
